On May 12th we organized the event “New Trends in Shaping the Future of the Radiological Protection System”, bringing together more than 40 specialists from the nuclear, medical, research, and regulatory sectors.
We had meaningful discussion regarding the evolving directions of radiation protection — from dose limits and the ALARA principle to risk management and public perception of radiation.
In this context, our colleagues Margareta Cherestes and Ruxandra Sapoi, experts in radiological protection, participated as speakers alongside Ms. Cătălina Chițu, Specialist Operations Engineer at Nuclearelectrica – CNE Cernavodă, and Mr. Petre Min, Head of the Emergency Operational Service within CNCAN.
The most valuable outcome was the exchange of perspectives and the genuine openness toward collaboration between specialists who approach the same field from different angles.
The event was moderated by Luciana-Elena Petrescu, an expert in crisis communication, public communication, and reputational management.
